It is a long way from London to Samoa, but if it is for the fresh air and the beauty of the island then the journey was worth it.
United Kingdom residents Ray Canning, his wife and daughter Lindsey are having a blast in Samoa, having travelled all the way from London.
They were at the Taumeasina Island Resort when the Samoa Observer crossed paths with the father and daughter team.
Their first time in Samoa, they have vowed to return, but not during the rainy season.
“I do see myself coming but I wouldn’t come back in raining season. I didn’t know it was wet season here at the moment but anyways it wasn’t that bad few days ago. Although it will be a long trip as we are from London but I do want to be back in the Island,” said Ms. Canning.
When they were asked how they settled on spending their vacation in Samoa, Lindsey said: “The story of how we got here is quite interesting. I was at a charity dinner in London, one of the lots to bid in an auction for charity, was a trip involving some time in Sydney watching the cricket, and then coming here to experience Samoan culture and to see it. And it was donated but I’m not quite sure who donated it but it was definitely something to do with the Samoa Rugby organization this part of the trip.”
She was initially supposed to travel to the island with her sister but she could not make it, so they ended up giving the other ticket to their father as his 80th birthday present.
Lindsey and her parents are having a good time in Samoa, they believed that the place is different from other tourism destinations and so beautiful.
“The place is very nice, my room is lovely, I got the beautiful view of the ocean and I can’t complain. The service is absolutely amazing and pretty good,” Ms. Canning added.
The activities and entertainment that they have been provided is exceptional and they are looking forward to visiting Savai’i and finding out more of its beauty before returning to London.
