Samoa survives Scotland scare to advance to quarterfinal

They failed to win a single game in Group B but Samoa have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Rugby League World Cup after a 14-all draw with Scotland.

Samoa were outplayed by the European side for much of the first half but fought back to level things up.

The most incredible moment came when Matthew Wright touched down in the corner -- miraculously avoiding the line.

Scotland missed one 40-metre penalty goal and two field goals in their bid to pull out a win that would have seen them jump Samoa on the table.
