Rain fails to dampen soccer excitement
Despite the soggy weather yesterday, excited children and parents turned up for a friendly soccer match at the JS Blatter Football Complex, Tuana’imato.
The students were from Robert Louis Stevenson Primary School, Vaiala Beach School and Peace Chapel.
Organiser, Eleanor Mcleod said it was a time for the children to have fun and enjoy the sport.
A parent, Michael Rasmussen said the game is good exposure for the kids because they are able to learn new football skills rather than playing video games.
An enthusiastic seven-year-old, Teugata Rasmussen from Robert Louis Stevenson said she likes playing soccer and she thinks the rain is nice and cool.
The tournament is an initiative put together by the Football Federation in Samoa.
