Wrong place to advertise

Dear Editor,

Congratulations to the Government and the people of Samoa on the opening of your new airport facilities at Faleolo.

I admire the work that has gone into building it. I do have some concerns that I hope the government will take into consideration.

I see from the photos shared on Facebook that a certain Bank is using government assets to advertise their products at the arrival lounge at Faleolo. The question is why is this allowed?

Where is the Samoa Tourism Authority, pictures of Samoa, our beautiful beaches should replace that instead of banks and telephone companies.

It is the first thing you see as you walk through to get to the arrival.

A friend of mine posted something on facebook with the Digicel banner displayed on the Government Building, this is completely wrong.

You never see in overseas countries Telstra or Dodo advertise their products infront of a Government building let alone in the main foyer of their airports.

The Government Building should be respected.

Soia le su’ea tupe i aseta a le malo.
