Students, researchers, and professionals have a chance to apply to study at leading institutions in Australia through the Endeavour Leadership Programme (E.L.P.) with applications closing on the 15th of November 2018.

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study and research at some of the best institutions in Australia, the E.L.P. is open to undergraduate, postgraduate and vocational education and training students, as well as professionals in higher education providers and registered training organisations.

High Commissioner Sara Moriarty said the E.L.P. provided opportunities for both established and emerging leaders in the community to start an international mobility experience within their chosen study, research or professional field.

Ms. Moriarty advised that applicants from Samoa would be an International recipient where they will undertake their Leadership Activity in Australia.

“The Australian Government has announced a total of AUD $118.9 million over four years for the ELP. Under the 2019 round, approximately AUD $20 million in funding is available to support two-way mobility Leadership Activities,”

“Some grants in the programme start at AUD $2,500 for short-term professional development. It would be good to see Samoa make the most of this opportunity,”

“The programme will support high performing individuals, tertiary providers or their students the opportunity to undertake study, professional development or research and increase their expertise in Australia,” Ms. Moriarty said.

“I strongly encourage applications from Samoa to apply, particularly those seeking to advance their knowledge and skills in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training workforce.”

The E.L.P. is the Australian Government’s two-way mobility for short and long-term study, research and professional development with Australia’s priority partner countries. It is managed by the Department of Education and Training.

The E.L.P. aims to enhance Australia’s reputation for excellence in international education through the continued internationalisation of the education, training and research sectors.
