Last Saturday will forever be etched in the hearts of Fata Sam Meleiseā and Jody Toleafoa.

This was the day they exchanged their vows in front of God, family and friends in a holy matrimony at the Taumeasina Island Resort.

Their union was blessed by President Jason Josephs of the Latter Day Saints church.

After two years of courting, the love birds decided to take their relationship to the next level and their journey as husband and wife began on Saturday after they said their “I do’s”.

Jody is the eldest daughter of Toleafoa Kuka and Atamamao Toleafoa’s three children.

She is from Utah, but she has been living in Samoa for two years now.

She is the Managing Director for Samoa Stationery and Books (S.S.A.B.) in American Samoa.

Fata is the youngest member of the House of Representatives of American Samoa. He hails from Tualauta Iliili, American Samoa.

He is the eldest son of Rev. Peniamina and Faauliuli Meleisea’s four children.

According to the bride’s aunty, Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai, Jody and Fata adore and love each other very much.

“Jody is exceptionally bright,” said Tofilau.

“She is also a very loving and talented person and she plays the violin and piano too. She’s been living here for two years and she is now looking after our S.S.A.B. Pago Inc.

“As for Fata, he is a very respectful person and most of all he treats Jody like a queen. They deserve each other as they are very respectful and loving people.”

Family and friends were treated to a reception at the resort.
