Members of Savea Leulua’iali’i Tuivaiese II’s family gathered at Afega yesterday for their annual thanksgiving service.

More than 100 members of the family of all ages congregated at the Maota o Tanumafili le Tolotolo for the occasion.

The ceremony acknowledged the hand of the Almighty God in the achievements of 2015 and His blessings were sought for the start of the new year. The service was conducted by Reverend Luapene Nepo, of the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa at Afega.

He reminded the family about the faithfulness of God.

He said there are times when people’s faith is shaken and they begin to doubt God, wondering if he would come through on his promises.

Rev. Nepo, however, reminded the family to be steadfast and know that He is not a man that He would lie.

He told the family to keep their focus on God and keep their faith on Him and He would always come through, providing whatever is necessary for their welfare.

Attended by family members from all over the world, the gathering ended with a feast.
