PR - The well renowned brand HP held a training session for technicians in Melbourne Australia from the 28th to the 30th of August 2018.

Among eleven technicians from Samoa, Australia and New Zealand were three technicians from SSAB who is HP’s only Gold partner - George Teo, Adrian Reid and Mose Euta.

The main focus for the training was to showcase the latest technology known as HP PageWide Copiers and other multifunction copiers. It is a new invention by HP which was launched ealier  this year with the aim to improve printing and lower costing in terms of power saving energy generated HP machines.

SSAB is the only authorised agent for HP products in Samoa & won the HP Silver award in 2017.

The CEO and President for SSAB Tofilau Fiti Leung Wai believe in training her staff to ensure they are able to assist customers who buy these HP products from SSAB.

“Back up support for clients is very important to SSAB because we are about good service to ensure people can trust the HP brand and also its machines that people can use, our technicians are always moving with the world and technology so we don’t get left behind this is why when new inventions come out SSAB is always the first to have it available for our people especially HP Products as we are the only Authorised agent for HP in Samoa."

Page Wide is a way more advanced printer invented by HP for all its customers, it is faster than Laser Jet and also Desk Jet printers. All HP printers have very high security within the machines to ensure all information printed through them are safe.

From a technical side of the training Printer Manager George Teo believes the training allowed them to learn about HP’s new invention.

“The training was mainly for us to understand how the new machines are operated so that when we need to service the machines we will have in Samoa we will hold the knowledge to have it done and not have to wait on sourcing people from overseas to maintain the machines which will cost more”.

The benefit also was to have direct training from HP as they hold all the knowledge and understanding about Page Wide Printers. Other benefits of Page Wide printers for our people is that they are faster, better and economically friendly. Less energy is released into the environment which aligns with our government working on ways to reduce waste and less impact on our environment through our newly launched e-waste project.

SSAB believes in training staff to ensure the help is rightly available as soon as our customers call for assistance. SSAB has more than 7 printer/copier Technicians who are well trained by overseas companies whenever the need arises for update trainings.
