“The joy on the faces of the children,” was the theme for the Missionary Infant Pre-School’s graduation ceremony, which was held at the Sisters of the Missionary of Faith at Moamoa.

The theme set the tone for the evening’s proceedings; because the children were excited and performed enthusiastically to the delight of the large crowd of parents, guardians, family and friends gathered at the church. All of the pupils participated in the ceremony in song and dance.

Teacher of the graduating class, Sister Falanika Vitale, dedicated a special remark of appreciation and well wishes to her students. The Principal, Sister Susana Vei congratulated all the boys and girls graduating and declared, “It’s been a privilege and honour watching your progress. I’m so proud of the success you’ve made”.

Izidor Lemisio of Tiavi was the dux of the graduating class. The guest speaker, Patele Mikaele highlighted the importance of nurturing between the ages of 0 to 5 and have encouraged parents and carers to nurture and love the children in order for them to be all they were intended to be.

Alo Tausisi Esekia one of the graduate’s mother commented : “I am very proud of these young children’s achievements and I’m surprised of how they became young graduates.  I did not expect the ceremony will come out a formal graduation ceremony like the seniors and adults in universities and High School does.  I felt so emotional and it’s one good idea of motivating young children to learn more while at their young age”.

The evening concluded with the giving of awards as well as entertaining the crowd through vying for the Tausala and Manaia Crown.
