Haggai Seleni of Vaivase-uta is the Dux for this year at Vaivase Primary School.

Haggai is the youngest son of Rev. Alofaifo and Agalelei’s three children.

Speaking to the Samoa Observer Haggai said he is very happy with his achievements this year.

“I feel very thankful to God for being with me throughout my 8 years in Primary School,” he said. “All the sleepless nights and hard work have all paid off.”

“It wasn’t easy but I thank the Lord I have made it this far.”

Proud mother Agalelei Seleni said that her son’s achievement is an early Christmas gift for both her and her husband who is in Fiji.

“I couldn’t ask for a better gift from my boy,” she said. “He is such a naughty kid but he has proved himself to us and I am so happy and thankful to God for his blessings upon my children.”

Mrs. Seleni went on to say that even though this is just the beginning for her son’s journey but she is thankful anyways.

“His father left for Fiji today but his heart was with his son and he is so proud of Haggai,” she said. “We know this is just the beginning but we are so thankful.”
