Samoa International Cricket is the grateful recipient of a donation of uniforms from the Morrinsville Junior Cricket Club.

The donation of 113 shirts is for the Association’s Super Kidz Super Hit development programme.

The success of the programme last year which had approximately 150 kids (3-14years old), saw the establishment of a formalised Under 15 Domestic Competition which will kick off in Quarter 4, 2017.

The Under 15 Competition will be for advanced kids (graduate from grassroot or plastic cricket play “hard ball” crickets) as they continue on with the player and career pathways paved out and supported by Samoa International Cricket.

The General Manager, Salā Stella Siale-Vaea Tangitau expressed her gratitude to the Morrinsville Club for the generous donation.

“It is a pleasure on behalf of Samoa International Cricket to receive this donation,” she said. “It comes at a great time with the start of the second year of our Super Kidz Super Hit development programme.”

Samoa International Cricket also acknowledged the support of Sonny Rivers, of the Samoa Tourism Authority, New Zealand and Hubert Sania.

The donation was presented by Mike and Jo Russell with their two boys on behalf of the Club.
