Rev. Reupena has established a precedent

Dear Editor,

Re: Court rules against the church

That’s great news for Rev. Reupena! Malo lava Olinda and your legal team.

Your legal nouse has obviously far exceeded the expectations of those who opposed your arguments. You should be commended.

In the words of Queen: “Another one bites the dust!”

However, I just wonder. If Rev. Reupena has had time to reflect on the many times when as a member of the so-called Board of Directors or Sub-Committee of Elders of the C.C.C.S he participated in similar behaviour in the disciplining and removal of other Rev’s under their watch?

If the report above is accurate, then the Sub-Committee of the Elders of the C.C.C.S did nothing different from what they usually do to Reverends who they deliberate over concerning disciplinary measures, and removal of presiding powers over the Sacraments, or their very status as ordained ministers for a set time.

I wonder now that Rev. Reupena has exposed the process as lacking in regards to the principles of ‘natural justice’, that he will now bring up all the Revs, that were removed and disciplined in his time on the Committee, to be given the same consideration and be included under the same decision, as he has been given?

I suppose only time will tell.

But, if Rev. Reupena’s passion in the past is anything to go by, I’m sure this can only be one of the many crusades that he will continue to pursue, now that he has established a precedent of such magnanimous proportions! Peace!
