Manu Samoa Sevens Head Coach, Sir Gordon Tietjens, has named his final squad for the Cathay Pacific/H.S.B.C. World Sevens tournament to be held in Hong Kong this weekend.

Manu Samoa has been drawn in one of the toughest Pool of the tournament, going up against New Zealand, Fiji and Russia.

The team has seen the return of Alamanda Motuga, and Lafaele Va’a after injuries, as well as Belgium Tuatagaloa, who played club rugby in France.

Silao Nonu, Jacob Ale and Lafaele Va’a will provide a mixture of speed and power from the forward back, alongside Alamanda Motuga and David Afamasaga.

Murphy Paulo, Alatasi Tupou and Tila Mealoi are likely to control ball possessions from the halves, with the help from Neria Foma’i, Tomasi Alosio and La’aloi Leiua in the midfields, and speed on the outside from Tom Iosefo and Joe Perez.

Manu Samoa is set to face Fiji for their first match of the tournament on 6 April.
