RICOH Managing Director, Michael Pollok, arrived in Apia yesterday.

Mr. Pollok is joined by other senior Ricoh executives and RICOH Samoa CEO, Shiv Narayan.

RICOH is a Fortune 500 company, with over 100,000 employees worldwide, and is a market leader in print and document management technology.

Mr. Pollok and his delegation are in Apia for their annual conference.

Samoa was chosen from a range of Pacific countries because of its local commitment to sustainability.

“For Ricoh, taking responsibility for environmental sustainability is not an option – it’s just how we do business - and the environmental initiatives in Samoa are world-class.”

As part of his visit, Mr. Pollok will be meeting with a number of Government agencies and companies about how RICOH can help them become sustainable.

“We’ve seen a lot of excitement in Apia around RICOH’s electronic records management systems,” says Mr. Pollok.

“Climate change is a real concern in small Island states so RICOH’s electronic records management systems can help deliver a paperless office, which is environmentally-friendly and sustainable.”
