Robert Louis Stevenson School concluded their annual book week yesterday with a costume parade and student assembly.

The school was a centre of fun learning as students and school staff showed up in colourful book character costumes.

School Principal Fiaapia Devoe said the celebration is part of the school’s initiative to promote excellent literacy skills among its students.

“Yes, we cannot stress enough the importance and necessity of our children having good literacy skills so we continue to promote reading and writing, speaking and listening,” Ms. Devoe said.

“It was an enjoyable and interactive morning with great parental support, beautiful costumes and generally a happy feeling all around.”

At the assembly in syndicates, the students shared their poems, songs and stories.
