Free ride or goodbye Argentina!

Dear Editor,

Interesting reading the story titled “Committee recommends international travel” on the front page of the Monday Samoa Observer.

Free travel on our Samoa Airways, luxury accommodation with room service and more money for allowance?

And we consider international travel for Parliament Committee? What?

For a small nation with a population of close to 200,000 people and you’re seeking to travel international to improve National Development?

Are you telling us the public that all these many years you were responding wrongly to the public’s need and you had no idea/glue how to advice Ministries in ways to improve National development?

What were you all doing these many years?

Do you realise that you’d have 1 x year and some months before your time is over and you’d still trying for freebies or free ride?

Or, is it for your “Good Bye Argentina”?

If memory serves me correctly, the Prime Minister had already touched base on this issue to save Govt. funds and now its cropping up again!

Do you people need overseas holidays or is Christmas coming too soon and you need more manera or pekuana?

 Which one is it?

There is an easy way to do it. Raise your bonuses like you always do to (five figures) and you’ll be laughing like there’s no tomorrow.

Fai ma se alofa. Give us some space to breath! God bless Samoa.
