Samoans in Fiji join celebration
Samoa’s blue and red colours couldn’t be missed in Suva, Fiji, on Thursday where the Samoan community there gathered.
While thousands were marching in Apia that day, Samoans in Fiji gathered in Suva for a special thanksgiving service to mark 55 years of political independence.
The gathering was well attended by Samoans working in Suva as well as the large student population studying at the University of the South Pacific there.
Here are some photos from the celebration.
