The Fire Emergency Services Authority (F.E.S.A.) responded quickly to put out a small fire inside the premises of the Apia Bottling Company compound today.

A company employee confirmed the fire was a small one and was immediately brought under control.

“It was just a small alarm,” she said.

More than 10 firefighters were at the scene.

They were assisted by Electricity Power Corporation (E.P.C.) officers who switched off the electricity in the area.

The Samoa Observer arrived when the firemen were still spraying the hose onto a metal tank at the back of the compound.

A F.E.S.A. official told the Samoa Observer they are investigating the cause of the fire.
