A kingly act to assist the fallen

Dear Editor,

Re: Education, many hands make light work

My, how the ripples have started and are growing by the minute!

Three weeks and you’ve already managed to boost the self-esteem of those kids with a smile.

A simple gesture, which speaks volumes to those receiving it. You’ve made them feel wanted and worthy of everything they thought was out of their reach.  I tip my hat to you Miss Quen for being an advocate to children who are less fortunate. I also applaud the efforts of the individuals who have come forward to aid you with your mission.

You mentioned that your dream is simple, “to motivate our children vendors in Samoa to get an education in hopes to pursue a brighter future and make wise choices as they become older.”

In the words of Walt Disney, “if you can dream it, you can do it”.  You may say it’s a simple dream, but to the children whose lives you empower, it is so much more. You’ve given them a chance at life, and a window to endless possibilities.

What more can I say, other than “thank you, and job well done.” I leave you now with words of Mother Teresa, “it is a kingly act to assist the fallen.”

You, my dear are the Queen of hearts (not the Alice in Wonderland one).

Wishing you nothing but the best all the way from American Samoa...’til next time

Tia
