Faafiu Semane Pese and Semiperive Semeane Pese saw out 2018 in style by tying the knot at Tanoaaleia Hall.

The reception to celebrate the union followed at the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa Hall, where Enefatu Lesa Tanualii, the bride’s father, spoke of his delight at seeing the new couple.

Although they had been extremely busy in planning the wedding, all was well worth it to see the couple finally unite in holy matrimony.

So how did the couple meet?

“I went to support my cousin’s rugby team one day and he (Semi) happened to be playing that same day,” the bride said.

That’s how they met.

Fa’afiu explained that she was not a believer of love at first sight and that their relationship they both learnt the true meaning of love in accepting each other for who they were.

“I am not perfect and certainly my husband is not either. But while we dated we really challenged one another and dealt with the hard and easy - like every relationship has. But we overcame them. He accepted me for who I am and I accepted him,” she said.

They have been together for a year.

The couple explained their heartfelt gratitude for their parents, families, church members and everyone who made their day special.
