The work of the transport sector in Samoa was under microscope yesterday at the Samoa Convention Centre.

The occasion was the Transport Sector mid-term review for 2014-2019.

Opened by the Minister of Works, Transport and Infrastructure, Papali’i Niko Lee Hang, the gathering was to evaluate the progress of three sub sectors which include the Sea sub-sector, Air sub-sector and Land sub-sector. 

The meeting also aimed to identify any gaps and provide feedback to strengthen the development of the sector.

A presentation about the work of the sea sub-sector delivered by the A.C.E.O. of Maritime –M.W.T.I. , Fepuleai Faleniu Alesana. 

The General Manager of Samoa Airports Authority, Magele Hoe Viali, spoke on behalf of the Air sub-sector.
