Wilson and Aisbett strong in Samoa Open

The second day of the Invest Samoa Open and Senior Open yesterday saw both leaders from Day one consolidate with subpar second rounds.

Peter Wilson, the Samoa Open Defending Champion, although having the most difficult of the conditions due to late rain hitting the Faleata Golf Course carded a solid 68 which included five birdies and only one bogey.

Wilson sits on a two round total of 11 under 133 three shots clear of Pieter Zwart of NZ who had rounds of 67 and 69.

Stephen Aisbett from New South Wales Australia had six birdies and two bogies in his second round 68 to lead the Invest Samoa Senior Open on 135 nine under par.

Hot on his heels and joining him in the last group of Legends today are Brad Burns from Queensland and three time champion Richard Backwell who are one and two shots behind respectively.

Play starts today from 7.30am with the leaders in the Taula National Championships hitting off ahead of the Professionals who will start at 8.40am with the leaders teeing off at 10.30am.
