More than sixty golfers teed off yesterday at the Fagali’i Golf Course where the 2016 Samoa Open Golf Open title is on the line.

The beautiful sunny and warm weather favoured the golfers as they set out for three days of tough competition.

The tee off was at 8:30 and the first team to tee-off included Denis Brosnan, Elliott Booth, Leota Tima Le’avai and Bronwyn Sesega.

Richard Backwell, the two time winner and defending champion teed off later.

Out of the 78 golfers, five of them are females and all of them are from Samoa.

They are Tima Le’avai, Rhonda Macdonald, Lutuiloa Vaiula Solomona, Fuimaono Tamato and Bronwyn Sesega. Here are some of the action from yesterday.
