Hot competition at the Zone B Secondary Schools

The Zone B weekly Secondary Schools Rugby 15’s competition kicked off its third round at the Saint Joseph’s College, Alafua grounds last week.

Saint Joseph’s College leads the points table for all the three divisions’ - Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 - competitions so far.  

Five schools are competing in the Zone B Under-19 division, including Saint Joseph’s College, Church College of Pesega, Faleata College, Maluafou College and Chanel College. 

There are seven schools in the Under-15 and Under-17 divisions, with Faatuatua Christian School and Robert Louis Stevenson School joining their competition.

In the Under-15 competition last week, Faleata College defeated Faatuataua School 26-17. Maluafou College thrashed Middle School Pesega 31-3 and Saint Joseph’s College defeated Chanel College 34-15 points at fulltime.

Robert Louis Stevenson School defeated Chanel College in the opening clash of the Under-17 competition last week 35-10, while Church College of Pesega won their game against Maluafou College 18-17 at fulltime.

Faleata College won by default against Faatuatua School while Saint Joseph’s College Under-17 team was on Bye.

In the Under-19 competition, Saint Joseph’s College defeated Church College of Pesega in the opening match of the Under-19 to a 37 win over three, while Chanel College defeated Faleata College by 19-12 at fulltime.
